Portloe Beach
At low tide Portloe has a sheltered, sandy beach but there is no beach at high water. A stream flows down the valley and across the beach. Swimming is safe within the cove. At high water the rocks around Portloe are good for diving and snorkelling. Not a surfing beach. There is a slipway which can be used to launch dinghies, kayaks and other small craft. There is safety equipment above the beach. No lifeguard service. Portloe Beach is dog friendly with dogs allowed on the beach all year. Public toilets are available on the coast path towards on the east of the cove towards Jacka Point. Local facilities include a post office. (Map integratetion by www.choughmountain.design)
